  • Color It All Safely

    Funded Jan 11, 2021

Myself and my students appreciate your generous donation. Each of these items will go to help students learn in their own unique way. As we try to stay safe while also trying to keep a sense of fun and normalcy to the classroom these art and school supplies will really be a huge step towards accomplishing that goal.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Keeton

  • Throw Your Voice!

    Funded Dec 2, 2019

My students have loved the Qball. We have mainly been using it to review for vocabulary tests. It gives those students who are quiet the opportunity to answer questions and be heard.

When my students first say the box, they were excited. They wanted to start throwing it around the room immediately. We had to have clear procedures and expectations using it, but their engagement has increased greatly.

We are currently working on a storyboard using characters from classic literature that students have discovered through research. They will be using the Qball to show character traits that they will use in their storyboard. They can't wait!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Keeton

These reading materials will give my students a diverse reading experience through different genres and topics that will appeal to their many interests. Through the Scholastic magazine students will have the opportunity to choose topics to read about with lessons that will enrich their comprehension of that text. I want to create a classroom where reading is not dreaded, but instead my students look forward to. These titles will give my students the opportunity to enjoy what they are reading and explore the world through books. Being in a small town, many of my students find it difficult to think of a world outside their own and reading is a vehicle for world exploration that can create life-long learners.
