Research has shown that students in classrooms with alternative seating options, have an increase in focus, motivation, and productivity. Active seating is great for students who have trouble sitting still through classes. The ergonomic base in wobble chairs moves and wiggles to keep students active and engaged while working. This type of seating will be especially beneficial for gifted students that have nervous system sensitivity. Along with helping with these needs, they also help relieve stress and increase focus. With more options, students would be able to make a seating choice that would make them as comfortable as they can possibly be. My classroom currently has pillows, dish chairs, bungee chairs, and bean bag chairs. By adding wobble chairs and bouncy bands, all aspects of learning will have a seating option.
