  • Cozy Classroom Carpet

    Funded Dec 13, 2021

Thank you so much for your donations! My students were so excited to see our new carpet! They are thrilled each day to grab their iPads, books, and activities to bring over to the carpet. Words cannot begin yo express our gratitude for your generosity. This carpet has made a huge impact in our classroom in such a short amount of time. Now our class has a designated spot for whole group and small group reading time and each student has their own space. This has been an amazing help with behavior and classroom management. Whether I am reading, the students are reading, or simply just working, it is a cozy place to read and work! We are so great full for donors like you who help to provide our classroom with the things we need to succeed!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Hudson

  • Young Historians in Need of a Social Studies Curriculum Resources!

    Funded Aug 19, 2020

I teach an amazing group of second grade students. My school is a Title One school. My students have benefited from the digital resources I was able to purchase with you help. It has allowed them access to more technology and exposure to new places and ideas. This innovative instruction has helped to bring the world to my students. The digital social studies resources have allowed me to find new ways to engage my students.

While we are unable to be back in school face to face having the digital curriculum resources to provide students with the best education possible really and truly has made such a difference. Prior to this project our social studies curriculum was limited to an outdated, donated set of books provided to the school. These books were not based in the state of Pennsylvania where we reside and it was difficult for the students to related to the content.

With the social studies bundle and additional social studies materials I was able to access for second grade they have been able to make connection before content and have been able to engage in a way that would otherwise have been a challenge. We cannot thank you enough for helping us to engage, explore and expand our minds!!”

  • Digital Resources for My Little Learners

    Funded Aug 12, 2020

Where do I even begin? Teaching in a title one school is EXTREMELY rewarding, however, it is not always easy. It can come with its own struggles and successes. Last year teaching second grade I gained a wealth of knowledge through trial and error in the classroom.

While I LOVE my job and work harder at it than I've ever worked for anything, the loudest voice in my head is the one that is constantly saying you need to do more for your students. It was with your help that I am able to say I AM doing more and that my students will be able to learn and grow successfully this school year despite being virtual. THANK YOU for for giving my students the opportunity to achieve the success through your contributions towards digital resources.

This would have been possible without your support. I am so very humbled and appreciative of all you all have done. THANK YOU for everything!”

  • Math Mathematicians in the Making

    Funded May 5, 2020

I want to begin by saying that while there are no words to truly express my gratitude for your contributions I sincerely THANK YOU. Without your love and support none of this would have been possible. Unfortunately, this project was created right before the pandemic began and fully funded during quarantine. So while my students were not physically able to engage with the mathematics materials it did make teaching from home that much easier. My second graders genuinely LOVED the interactive lessons and activities I was able to create using them! A few students even received some of the items in the care packages I created to help finish out the school year which made a world of a difference for my hands on learners. I am looking forward to utilizing the rest of the mathematics manipulatives again this year with my incoming second graders. While we may be teaching and learning virtually this year, I will yet again be utilizing these materials to create interactive lessons and activities to help them reach their highest potential. We could not have done this without you! THANK YOU for helping me to bridge the gap!”

  • Phonics for Struggling Readers

    Funded Mar 5, 2020

Thank you so much for the love and support you have shown my second graders! We're beyond excited to get these materials and put them to GOOD use! Your help makes all the difference in our classroom. Thank you all for continuing to help me help my kiddos reach their highest potential🥰”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Hudson

My classroom has no classroom library yet! Students are a group of readers at various levels and I'm hoping to push their abilities to the max by the end of the school year. My overall goal is to help students go up at least 1 grade level by the end of the year. Having a classroom library will allow students to have resources to access for group and solo projects that demonstrate the various aspects of a story (characterization, plot, character interaction, story elements and student creativity). The school year is fast approaching! EVERY little bit helps when it comes to classroom supplies & materials.
