My project is filled with the items I would love to buy as a first year teacher, but don't quite have the funds for yet. Tools and materials needed for the classroom get expensive, but my students need options and opportunities in the classroom! My wish list of supplies includes tools for learning that strays away from the traditional desk, chair and textbook routine. I want students to engage with relevant issues of Time magazine, brainstorm ideas on whiteboards with peers, and have options to work wherever makes them feel the most productive! It is all about creating an environment that promotes a love for learning, not one that forces information.
