We have a large and lively bunch of Kinders who are already accustomed to learning through technology. Our school purchases both math and reading programs that help them practice skills, monitor their progress, and motivates their learning. We are asking for 15 iPads (5 for each of our 3 classrooms)so our students can access these quality programs daily! In Kindergarten, we know that young students learn best with small group instruction and hands-on learning. We strive to provide a center-based learning environment that is both age-appropriate and rigorous. A set of 5 iPads for each of our 3 classrooms of 23 students would allow us to have a "technology center" in both our math and reading blocks. Having a technology center will keep help keep students busy and engaged with quality programs while we provide the small group instruction that is essential to early childhood learning.
