I would like to help students make connections by decorating my room with movie posters and having G, PG, and PG-13 movies for students to check out. These posters and movies will all cover topics we discuss in class. Through other images on my walls and teacher suggestions of books and movies, my students have made amazing connections to areas of the world and historical events in past years. I give summaries and recommendations of movies and books in my class which often leads to students reading/watching these books and movies in their spare time or recalling the story I told about the book/movie in class. This has greatly assisted students in remembering important aspects studied in class and has greatly enriched their learning experience.
