Students absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! They come to school each day ready to try new things in order to grow both personally and academically. I chose tools that are not only functional and sound but also colorful and fun to enhance each child's experience in improving their writing and literacy. I also chose supplies that are on the school supply list but in short supply due to financial constraints. Each child in my classroom will respond to variety in approaches to learning. In addition, different methods of teaching and practice hone different skills. For example, dry erase boards will save paper, give instant responses for immediate feedback and assessment of learning, and are just, plain fun to use. Colored paper allows visual learners to conceptualize ideas through art. Help me provide tools that will enhance learning and keep students engaged through a variety of experiences.
