As a first grade freshmen educator, I've experienced the lack of resources for my scholars. This has caused my students to feel discouraged, about learning and placed limitations on their imagination. The items that are being requested are vocabulary building, phonics, and literacy support. These resources will be utilized as a Literacy/Writing Center located in a large section of the classroom. Providing a large table with comfortable seatings, setting an atmosphere for learning and engagement. There will be small group of instruction daily with 4-5 students. This will allow peered reading, teacher assistance for the scholars, journal writing and sight words repetition. In this community of learning my students will feel a sense of confidence in sharing (entire classroom) by reaching their educational growth chart successfully.
