These items will allow for flexible seating and meeting the basic needs of my students with clothing and classroom essentials. These items will help assist me in my journey to teach my students self-regulation. My students often come from low income homes, broken homes, or the foster system. They do not always have extra clothes or basic school supplies for the school year. Students will be able to borrow appropriate clothing for the weather and then learn how to wash and store it in my classroom closet. I tend to pay for their field trips and school treats. Most of the times, I have wound up buying shoes, shirts, socks, and snacks for the students on a regular basis. They are wonderful kids who deserve the same opportunities as the rest of their grade level peers.
