My students will utilize the TIME for Kids magazine to read informational text about past and current events happening around the world. They will use these magazines to develop an understanding for text structure and evidence. Students will read different articles and create reading responses to demonstrate their ability to comprehend. This project is a good way to engage students in class and promote whole group interaction while improving reading and writing skills. TIME for Kids magazines will provide a broad range of information for building diversity in the classroom. Teaching diversity will enhance their learning as they progress throughout the school year.
