  • iLearn on the iPad

    Thank you for your generous contributions. My twenty-six students were excited and flabbergasted that strangers would be so generous to donate an iPad to our class. It made an impression knowing that people they have never met care for their academic success. It has taught my students that generosity or giving back to others is a means of strengthening a community. My students sincerley appreciate their iPad. It makes it convenient and easy to manage when working on their skills. They can work at their desk or in a quiet zone on their interventions and/or enrichment.

    My students were also excited to see the colorful floor cushions. They knew they would be able to sit on the floor comfortably. The cushions home is our little reading nook by the library. They will use them as they work or read during their Independent Reading Center Time. However, as needed, they will also be able to use the floor cushions anywhere in our classroom when working collaboratively. The cushions will provide comfort as they sit on the floor to work.

The iPad will provide my students more experience with technology. The majority of my students are low income and are not exposed to technology. The iPad will provide more interactive apps for them to use. The iPad will boost my students to progress and achieve their goals in reading and math. Giving them a boost in learning is very important for me since many of these students require more enrichment in their learning. Some students work better with technology than paper. Reading and Math Apps are important for the students to achieve their reading and math levels. This is a great opportunity for them to sit individually and work at their own pace. Some students require to work slower and alone to achieve their goals. This will help them.
