  • The "Need to Get" List

    Funded Mar 27, 2025

Thank you so much for your generous support of our classroom!

This project was a collection of all those little (and not-so-little) things that teachers keep on a running list of those "next time I'm at the store" items that somehow never stop growing. Your generosity has helped check off that list in a big way, and for that, we are incredibly grateful.

Your donation helped fill in the gaps—extra math spinners, class sets of editing and publishing pens, quality noise-canceling headphones, and replenished supplies we use every day. These items may seem small, but they make a big difference in how smoothly our classroom runs and how supported our students feel.

Thank you for believing in our students and helping us give them what they deserve.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Taylor

  • Replace and Replenish

    Funded Feb 11, 2025

We sincerely thank you for funding our project. Your generous support has truly transformed our classroom! The students are thrilled to have fresh, new, shiny supplies and materials, which has brightened up the dreary winter rainy days.

We've already put the sticky notes to good use several times, and it's clear that the kids adore them even more than the adults do—what a delightful surprise! No longer do we have to squeeze the life out of dried-up markers for our dry erase activities, thanks to your contributions.

Furthermore, we have been using the TPT gift card to boost our reading and writing curriculum with extension activities and more hands on experiences.

Your kindness has made a significant impact on our 3rd-grade classroom, and we are incredibly grateful for your support.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Taylor

  • Book Clubs for Budding Bookworms

    Funded Feb 11, 2025

Thank you for your generous contribution to this reading project! Because of your kindness, our students now have a wonderful selection of book club books to enjoy. They are absolutely loving their new books and are excited to have stories that match their reading levels and interests.

It has been incredible to see their enthusiasm grow as they explore different books, discuss their favorites, and even take their reading outside for special activities. Your support has not only expanded our classroom library but has also fostered a love for reading that will stay with them for years to come.

Thank you for making such a meaningful impact on our students' learning and for helping us build a community of eager and confident readers!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Taylor

  • Maslow 1st, Bloom Next!

    Funded Jan 13, 2025

We can't thank you enough for your generosity in supporting our DonorsChoose project! Because of your kindness, our students now have warm coats and gloves to keep them comfortable as they learn and play outside. These essentials have made such a difference, ensuring that every child can fully enjoy outdoor learning, no matter the weather.

The storage bins have also been a fantastic addition, helping us keep our materials organized and ready to go for our next adventure. Your generosity has not only provided warmth and comfort but has also created a sense of excitement and togetherness in our classroom. We are so grateful for your kindness—thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Taylor

If you give them control in their learning they do great things. As soon as students are made curious and we get their minds going, they are motivated to get to work on their own projects and activities independently. This is much more fun and engaging when they can take a seat in a wobble chair, floor cushion, yoga ball or sit up straight on a stool. By allowing them the flexibility to find a spot and seat that works for them, they get to take charge of their education and decide what helps them best to focus. Let Me Wiggle, Let Me Focus is a project that lets students move when they need to move and not be restricted by a standard classroom chair. I have watched a room of students hone in their focus in a matter of seconds when they can choose a seat that they want. I have seen a world of difference when kids can sit on a wobble cushion or special chair even during whole group instruction. Their need to move is focused on their chair or seat rather than pestering others around them and it allows them the ability to focus on what they are learning rather than sitting still. Right now, the room has 5 coveted options including a couple donut chairs, one wobble stool, and a couple yoga balls. The students LOVE these options but I do not have the means to supply the whole class with alternative seating. That means I am limited to offering the seats we do have based on the highest need. Team Taylor would love to have a room full of options for all students to have the freedom to choose.
