Hot... Hot...Dots!
Funded Apr 25, 2018I truly appreciate each donation given! Your support means so much and the students are thankful for the new Hot Dot sets. My classroom has come alive over the last few days. We are using the different series to review skills that we have learned all year. Students love the immediate feedback they get from using Hot Dots. They also love the challenge of reading advanced text and practicing multiple choice questions in an exciting setting! Thank you for caring about students and our school. Your gift is a blessing to us!”

Hello? Can You Hear Me?
Funded Mar 27, 2018Thank you so much for supporting my classroom! My students received their headphones today and I cannot put their excitement into words. Watching them open the box and discovering what was inside was incredible! My students were more focused than ever in their software program and they love how easy they were to use. My students complimented how comfortable they were to wear and how the new microphones let them complete their topic with ease. Thank you for making a difference in the lives of children by showing them that someone cares about their education and success!”

This classroom project was brought to life by Ripple and 6 other donors.Razzle Dazzle Reading Groups
Funded Aug 24, 2017I cannot express how the items purchased are impacting students. My third graders are using highlighters to go back into a text and find evidence to support their answers. My second graders are using Hot Dots to practice a variety of skills including consonants clusters and reading Nonfiction articles. My unifix letter magnets are used on a daily basis with all my small groups! They really help my students manipulate sounds in words with ease. The unifix letter cubes and CVC word cards have been amazing in helping first graders hear the various sounds in words and the flashcards help us with daily review practice. Again, thank you for supporting my classroom and students. It is wonderful to see the impact that you are having in education!”

VIP Reading Experience
Funded Dec 30, 2016My students are in love with their book bins and having "Flashlight Friday". I have seen them grow in reading by choosing more challenging books for their bin. They are also building stamina while reading independently. My third graders use their book bins daily and are able to "book shop" from our classroom library every Friday. By having "Flashlight Friday", my students are actively engaged in reading. They are up to 20 minutes of uninterrupted reading every Friday! This gives me a chance to meet with struggling readers for a conference.
Our classroom has received so many compliments on the look and organization of the book bins. My students are able to access them easily and they can store multiple books! I truly appreciate the leveled books for literature circles and so do my students! I am able to read books with small groups of students at their level and help build their comprehension and fluency!Thank you for your generous donation!”

Funded Oct 27, 2016The last few weeks have been amazing with our new seat sacks! As a teacher, I am loving that my students are keeping their technology safe and organized. My classroom has received so many compliments on their appearance and durability. I have been hoping to have students learn organization through these amazing seat sacks for years. Thank you for granting my wish.
Thank you for making my students feel special and that their education is valued. The students are in love with having seat sacks and they take care of them with ease. They take pride and use their seat sack appropriately. Thank you for giving to my awesome third graders!”

Creative Kids Make Second Grade Fun
Funded May 15, 2016Dear Gwen,
Thank you for always supporting my classroom and my students. My students in third grade have already used the art supplies to create an "All About Me" project at the beginning of the year. We have also used the supplies in writing, to create "silly monsters" to use in descriptive writing. It was so much fun to see the students' excitement and enthusiasm with that project! I cannot thank you enough for a pencil sharpener. I have never had an electric sharpener and it has changed the way we work and write.
I know these supplies will go along way and they have made a huge impact with my students. They love knowing that someone cares about them and their education. Thank you for always supporting me and my classroom.”

Time, Money, and More!
Funded Apr 10, 2016I waited to write this impact letter because I wanted to be able to really share with you what this project has meant to my students. With the end of the school year approaching, these items have made our Math time so special. It is currently ISTEP testing, and although my students do not test, we have an additional 30 minutes of Math instruction to work on targeted skills. I can't explain in words how engaging and important these items have been for my students. I looked up at my students on Friday and realized that every single one was participating. They were truly enjoying their Math time and a huge smile went across my face. Thank you for giving to my students. Thank you for giving me these special moments as a teacher. You are a blessing!”

Bingo! Zingo! Winner!
Funded Mar 9, 2016When the boxes arrived to our classroom, my students began cheering and clapping. They know that these boxes mean that people care about them and their education. They know that people believe they can succeed and want to make learning fun for them.
These materials have already been used in our reading centers and Intervention. I have seen improvement in my students' ability to build and decode words. I have also seen more engagement from my students. They love when we use these materials and they get to "play" with their friends. Our reading time now has hands-on materials.
I cannot thank you enough for giving to my classroom. Your generosity means so much to me and my students. Thank you for supporting education and influencing my students for a lifetime.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Torres-Hamilton
Second Graders Love Listening
Funded Oct 27, 2015The new Listening Center has impacted my classroom so much! This experience has been amazing for my students and they often will refer to you when using the materials purchased for our classroom. To begin with, my students felt a boost of confidence when the packages arrived. I explained to them that someone believe in them as much as I do and wanted to make their reading centers specials. The students were so excited as I pulled the new radio and headphones out of the box and they couldn't believe their eyes when they saw all the new books and Cd's that were for them.
The materials have been used in two ways. Since we now have multiple copies of books and the ability to listen to them. We have used some for as our weekly listening center. The students loved listening to "Piggie Pie!". I could hear them laughing as they listened to the story. It built anticipation for the others students who would listen later in the week. Their giggles made me smile as you helped accomplish what they so desperately needed. I then used that story to analyze the characters. In addition to the listening center, I created Literature Circles using the Frog and Toad books. They not only get to listen to their Frog and Toad book of the week but then have an in-depth discussion about their book with their peers and complete a comprehension quiz for a prize.
Reading is my classroom has been brought back to life. It is not dull and boring but bold and interactive. Since receiving our materials, every single one of my students has increased their fluency score and built their comprehension score! I cannot thank you enough for sharing my love of Reading with my students and giving them an experience that they will never forget.”

Ms. Torres-Hamilton
Write On!
Funded Nov 26, 2014My students were so excited to receive their journals! My class literally cheered when I pulled out the box. They could not stop smiling and they are truly happy. Everyday during writing we pull out our journals and "special writing pencils" and use the 6-traits of writing to create some AMAZING stories! My students are finally starting to take writing seriously and put in 100% effort. They take pride in their stories. I have seen more detailed pictures, more sentences, and even descriptive words since we started using them. It is wonderful! I cannot thank you enough for providing these resources and making my students feel like real authors and illustrators.”
