  • Desk Pet Stock Up

These desk pets, along with their "environments" (jars and supplies) have been a welcomed, wonderful, addition to our classroom! They not only have proven to be a great classroom management tools, the children look forward to earning new desk pets and food/items for their pets and using them to write in their journals.   • New Supplies!

    Thank you again for your continued support of our classroom! The students always enjoy when they are provided with new materials and supplies!

    This year supplies were depleted while I was out on maternity leave. It was so nice to be able to come back and have new items to give to my students this o extend and assist them in their learning.

    Many times, being a special education teacher, the students do not have new or even individual supplies- as these are given to homeroom teachers. It is a great feeling to be able to provide each student with their own set of items for their personal use!”

  • Fun Seasonal Resources

    Thank you yet again for your support! This project was able to provide my students with new resources that we are able to use in the classroom and at home!

    Due to the hurricane, some of our students have been displaced, and are leaning virtually. The resources that I purchased with the teacher pay teacher gift card are printable, as well as interactive on the iPads (that each student in the district has).

    Each month, I have been able to introduce new learning materials to the students on their individual IEP goals and objectives: number identification, letter identification, counting sets, reading CVC words, etc. Being able to switch out material each month has keep the learning fun, new and interesting for the students! Thank you again!”

Utilizing books and stories, we will explore our big feelings while learning how to self-regulate our emotions. Students will be provided with a safe place to learn about and explore ways to self soothe and calm down. Through the use of multi-sensory techniques and materials, each individual student will be supported in discovering what works best for them: listening to music, playing with putty, sitting with a weighted blanket, watching a sensory bottle, etc. Once the students are ready to return to work, they will complete a self-assessment (pictures for the pre-k/kindergarten students, short responses for the 1st graders) where they will reflect on what worked best for them, and how they are feeling. Students will be allowed to discover and explore with the guidance and support of myself.
