  • Color Our World

    Funded Nov 30, 2022

Thank you so much for your kindness and your support of my class project! Receiving these materials has made a tremendous difference in my class. The colored paper has been used to create center cards that allow the students to practice their vocabulary words for the book we are reading at the time.

Using the colored printer in my classroom allows us to celebrate the 5th-grade students and their accomplishments such as Student of the Month. Students are encouraged to write articles for the colorful and informative weekly newsletter. Student birthdays are recognized each month as well. The newsletter provides important information for the parents including spelling lists, the week's activities, what we will be working on, and dates that need to be remembered. The printer is also used to create the monthly Student of the Month certificates for the students in every class in the building each month.

We are so grateful for the laminating sheets too. These are used to make bulletin board displays. The laminating sheets are used to protect and preserve vocabulary cards and reading materials for the reading centers the students use each and every day.

Again, we thank you for your support of our class!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Wall

    Funded Jul 30, 2019

Thank you all for your contribution to my classroom and the support you have given me. These Chromebooks will help my students with many aspects of their day to day learning goals.

May you be blessed as we have been blessed. Thank you again for your kindnesd and your generosity.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Wall

My classroom is an engaging environment where I work hard to make learning relevant and interesting. I have been to countless Science and Math professional development opportunities and I am passionate about teaching my students. But, today's students need to learn skills that I had never dreamed of during my own education experience. Not only do they need basic computer skills, they need to learn how to code, problem solve, and research while finding dependable and correct sources. Students need to learn how to communicate and collaborate with others as they work. The biggest gap in my classroom has come from a lack of access to current technology for my students. Having such a large class makes this gap even wider. I strive to prepare my students for the ever-changing needs of our world, but this is become more and more difficult without a strong foundation in technology. Whether students plan to attend college or go directly into manufacturing and trade jobs, a strong grasp of technology is a requirement.
