We don’t have a whiteboard in our room. So a whiteboard table would be a great way for my students to interact with each other. A whiteboard table would give my students the opportunity to write or draw what they are learning. They can use the table to work together in groups to find solutions to problems. A whiteboard table will keep my students engaged. My students could use the whiteboard table to write letters of the alphabet and words that I dictate. This will allow for easy assessment of their work. (Imagine the paper we can save!) I can give the students picture cards (ex: bed, cat, rug, fan) and have them write out the word next to the picture. The students love to show their work! The students can use the whiteboard table with the Word of the Day. Students can write the word on the table in front of them, which will help both the kinesthetic and the visual learner. They can keep track, using tally marks of how many times they use the word in a sentence. There are so many ways we will use the whiteboard table. Bottom line is I want to create a classroom for my students that is conducive to their learning and will engage them. I want to give my students what they need to become successful learners!
