The students were VERY excited, grateful, and surprised to see the math manipulatives appear in our Math Learning Center.
The donations of math manipulatives are used everyday in our classroom. The students are currently engaged in learning how to subtract from three-digit numbers with and without regrouping. During whole-group instruction, I demonstrate how to use Base Ten Blocks and Unifix Cubes to subtract from three-digit numbers with and without regrouping. During small-groups instruction, the students practice using Base Ten Blocks and Unifix Cubes to subtract from three-digit numbers with and without regrouping.
The math manipulatives provide active, effective, and learning activities. The students are able to learn, apply, and achieve the Math curriculum.”

My Second Grade students deserve academic resources that align with the curriculum and recognize their needs. Our school district adopted a new Math curriculum that emphasizes the use of manipulatives to encourage engagement, higher-order thinking, and problem-solving skills. The materials I chose will allow my Second Grade students to learn, apply, and achieve in Math. "The only way to learn mathematics is to do mathematics."- Paul Hamos. Math manipulatives provide active, effective, and engaging learning activities. They help students learn by allowing them to experience and explore the curriculum. The donation of Math manipulatives will be used every day in our classroom.
