  • Fun with Firsties

    Funded Nov 14, 2024

My students were over the moon when the new items arrived in our classroom this year. They have been so excited to use the their reading bags and dry erase pocket sleeves during phonics time, as well as, small group time. Having teacher materials such as marvelous tape, colored construction paper, magazine box organizers for the class library, and an alphabet chart have made this year in first grade a lot easier. Being able to add air fresheners to our classroom has made the room smell a whole lot better. Thank you so much for you kindness and generosity. Your love for educators and education is truly appreciated.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Farley

  • Supplies to Enhance Learning in the Classroom

    Funded May 24, 2024

Supplies to Enhance Learning in the Classroom has been a game changer in our first grade classroom. Thank you for supporting children, teachers, and education! I could not get through my day without one of the tools that each of the students use daily. Everyone of them use their dry erase marker, eraser, and dry erase board each day. They also use their clipboard to work independently around the room. The mesh zip bags help each child hold their phonics sound chips that they need to use when they sound out their word.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Farley

  • Healthy Education

    Funded May 24, 2024

Healthy Education was a blessing to have funded. Thank you so much for making this a reality. We studied the human body and got to dress up like doctors. The kids absolutely loved all of the experiences this brought as their culminating activity from our reading unit. This was only able to happen because of everyone that supported children, teachers, and education.

All of my students are extremely excited to see what they get to do next. They already want to dress up again in the doctor coat and stethoscope.”

  • Headphones for Littles

    Funded May 8, 2024

Thank you for taking the time to donate to Headphones for Littles. My students have thoroughly enjoyed their new headphones. It helps them to complete independent work on their ipads, as well as, working on tests that they need to be able to hear. I love that the headphones fold and have a braided chord; all of these characteristics help to ensure that the student has quality headphones.

Quality headphones are important in an elementary school classroom; especially when you are working with first graders. It is extremely important to have durable ones that can last all school year. Thank you again for your generosity.”

  • Picture Perfect!

    Funded Aug 29, 2023

Thank you to the amazing people that helped make this project possible, without your generosity and support we could not have gotten the Fujifilm Instax Mini 12 Instant camera, film, and laptop backpack. These items have been essential this school year. We have been able to take pictures of various projects since the beginning of school, and having plenty of film helps tremendously. The laptop backpack is key to a teacher's everyday life. It is large enough to carry everything that I need for a busy teacher's needs.”

  • On the Move with Learning

    Funded Jul 19, 2023

I want to take the opportunity to say thank you for your generosity and support in supporting education. In the Move with Learning has some fantastic resources that have already impacted our school year, such as: folding wagon cart, acrylic ice buckets (table trash cans), Expo dry erase markers, binder pencil pouches, wood clipboards, dry erase boards, bright color passes & lanyards, sticky notes, white out, batteries, whiteboard erasers, Paper Mate flair pens, bookmarks, shag eraser, round magnets, and vacant/occupied sign. These resources have helped my students each day with their subjects; like working out math problems or practicing spelling words. You have helped my kiddos become amazing leaders through your kindness.”

  • Shelves for Learning

    Funded Jun 20, 2023

Thank you for your generosity and contribution to my Donors Choose project. Having new bookshelves in various heights is a wonderful resource for me. I feel truly blessed after my classroom was flooded last year, I didn't think I would get these new bookshelves. Teachers are constantly coming in and bragging about how nice they are. The bookshelves hold student books with various buckets for ease to choose, literacy and math games to play during small group rotations, and teacher small group materials.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Farley

  • Teacher Tools

    Funded Jun 19, 2023

Thank you for your generosity in helping to fulfill this Donors Choose project. Some important items that teachers need to help with our day to day are: Sharpies, flip chart markers, polka dot name tags, teacher stamps, large book bags, and curtain valences. Having a great pencil sharpener is essential in a lower elementary classroom. The Bostitch sharpener is wonderful. You need a great chair when you are working with little ones, and having small groups. I absolutely love my new teacher rolling chair with back support! Finally, having large clear bags makes keeping my little learners spaces organized; this is essential for our time management.”

  • Headphones for Littles

    Funded May 9, 2023

The impact the compact headphones have had in my classroom has been amazing. My students love having comfortable headphones that don't hurt their ears, and have a chord that doesn't fray because it is braided. They love being able to fold the headphones so that they don't take up a lot of space. The boys and girls also like that they can adjust the headphones to fit the size that they need.

I would like to say how much I am grateful for everyone that contributed to this DonorsChoose project. Your love and support for education is humbling. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

  • Books for Young Readers

    Funded Oct 5, 2022

I just want to say thank you for your generosity in supporting education and Books for Young Readers. The students have enjoyed getting on the display stage to present projects, teach a lesson, and to answer questions. They have also enjoyed reading all of the non-fiction books that are in our classroom library, particularly the National Geographic stories.

When they get a chance to read in class, they lay down on the floor or sit at their seat quietly and are fully engrossed in the story. This makes a teachers heart so happy!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Farley

The video rockers, wobble stools, and stack stools will help to let my students move around at their spot, while still staying on task. As a 7-9 year old, being able to have flexible seating in the classroom would allow them the freedom to move around without getting into trouble. I chose the rug so that I can create an environment that would be relaxing for my students. I know some kids come to school stressed, and I want my students to feel comfortable whenever they come into our classroom. It is their home while they are at school. The more relaxed they are, the better they will function in their environment.
