  • Social and Emotional Learning

    Thank you so much for the Kleenex and blankets. The Kleenex help wipe tears when students are sad. They also help wipe their runny noses as many of them have allergies. They also help to disinfect and wipe their computer keyboards. The blankets have been keeping my students warm as they don't always bring their jackets. The softness of the blankets also brings them comfort.

    We also appreciate the little incentives, which my students work for. The incentives help my students to stay on task and feel rewarded after work. The use of reinforcement is an evidence-based practice that works for many students with special needs.”

    Every little thing helps when it comes to motivating our students to learn. Instead of traditional worksheets, I've been able to create hands-on, colorful, multi-sensory learning materials, thanks to your donation.   • Help Students Resume In-person Learning

    Thank you so much for helping my students to access technology. Although there are computers at our school, technology is not always working due to the internet connection problem or the laptop wasn't charged properly or the laptop just isn't working due to system upgrade, etc, etc. It's always nice to have alternate devices, especially for students whose fine motor skills aren't good enough to use the regular trackpad on a laptop. Clicking and dragging are quite difficult for young students. Thank you!”

Some students have difficulties using the trackpad on a computer. Clicking and dragging on a trackpad is challenging for students with fine motor skills. iPads are helpful for many students, as the apps offer some features that aren't available on laptops. I am requesting two new iPads to support students returning to the classroom after a school year impacted by COVID-19. Our student body has a 64.79% free/reduced lunch population. Our students all bring their own unique qualities to the classroom; not only in their personalities, but also in their abilities and goals.

About my class
