Most often the students I see in my classroom don't have a lot of choices in their home environment. By allowing them different opportunities to get them comfortable while learning, students become engaged not only in the lessons, but in their classroom community as well. The power of what might seem like a little choice of comfort sometimes can have the biggest impact in such a young child's life. It's my goal to make every child feel comfortable and welcomed in our classroom environment and have every opportunity to feel like they can succeed with the different options we can provide. This project will help fund an additional three choice options for students to sit at throughout the day. Students will be able to chose the wobble cushions for added support and for the extra wiggle it will allow them in their seats, the rolling tractor seats with backs to give them back support with the functionality of support, and the rolling draft chairs to move from their tables to small groups with the teachers. The goal of this project is to create comfortable seating for the students so they are more attentive and stay engaged throughout the lesson because they are in a seat that accommodates their needs.
