I teach in an amazing school in Richmond, CA. My kids face a lot of challenges, both inside and outside the classroom. Our school exists in a low-income neighborhood with nearly 100% of students on free and reduced lunch. Many of my kids are recent newcomers to the country. A few speak very little to no English. We have worked hard to develop a classroom culture of support and love for ourselves and for the other people in our class. I've watched my kids grow a lot over the past year, and the lessons we have taught each other are lifelong. My kids are special and bright and intelligent--they are completely undefined by any challenges they may face, and show up every day ready to learn. My goal is to give them the absolute best education possible and to show them how capable they are of achieving their goals. I am so appreciative of you for helping to provide my students with the resources they deserve.
