  • Flexible in Fifth!

    The students have been greatly enjoying the new furnishings for our classroom. They love using the pillows and wobble cushions when they're at their desks. My kids are allowed to stand on the wobble cushions during lessons and it really help my active students stay engaged! We also love using our pillows on the new rugs that are throughout the classroom.

    Our kids were so excited when they saw we had new furniture in the classroom. Everyone wanted to have a pillow (or sometimes two) at their seats and on the rugs. They've gotten good at asking permission to change their seat. They've also been good with taking turns using our new supplies.

    We are now in the second half of our year and we are gearing up for what we call "testing season". We've been working on getting students incentives to keep them motivated and doing their best! Relaxing on the rug for read aloud after a long day always helps! Thank you so much for your donation.”

In the coming year, I will be welcoming fifteen brilliant students into my classroom. My teammates and I want to get our students involved in more project based learning. Our kids are so engaged when they're moving around. It seems odd to keep them confined to desks all day. It's time to get up and moving. My students need a place where they can get out of their seats and be comfortable during groups and stations. We do lots of hands-on science activities in our classroom. It would be wonderful to have more space for the kids to move around and get thinking. This space would also be a great additional work space for our STEAM projects. Our class should be comfortable and welcoming to anybody who visits. Right now, classroom carpets and soft seating options are the major pieces missing from our class. Thank you so much for your consideration and support!
