I love to use hands-on learning in my classroom to make history come alive for my students. Using historical figurines is a great way to get students' attention, especially when studying political history. I like to use use them as props to pique students' interest when introducing a new historical event.
As we move through the eras, I can use each figurine as we discuss new historical dilemmas and debates.
Also, I like to show historical movies and documentaries in my class to give students a better idea of life in American history. These documentaries and movies will help students learn about events that they typically struggle with.
