  • Headphones for an Engaging Learning Experience

    Funded Sep 7, 2024

Thank you so much from Class 328 for helping us get the much needed headphones for our technological needs! These headphones have been a big hit with my students - they have taken agency over their learning. Students have been able to listen to book audio and play speaking/listening games while learning. They have been so engaged in their learning and are able to focus on the task at hand without being distracted by external factors. We appreciate all that you have done to make this project come to life!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Peralta

  • Let's Start the School Year With Some Basics!

    Funded Aug 14, 2023

Thank you so much for your support! Through your donations, you were able to fund our classroom project and my students were able to receive the necessary tools/supplies needed for a successful school year. Students have been able to use the dividers when taking tests which helps them to stay focused on the task at hand. They have also benefited from a large supply of pencils and erasers as they go through so many throughout the year. They have also been able to create beautiful self-portraits using the skin colored pencils.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Peralta

  • Invaluable Technology Support

    Funded May 4, 2022

Thank you so much for your generous donations. Your donations have helped our classroom tremendously! With your support, we were able to receive an iPad in the classroom which was used for a variety of things: taking pictures of student work and displaying on bulletin boards and/or messaging to families via ClassDojo, students using it during station work to learn on Zearn and play math games, read digital books in Spanish from Level Learning and listen to audiobooks as well.

Our students have had a wonderful school year thanks to you.”

  • Essential Classroom Supplies

    Funded Dec 13, 2022

Thank you so much for your generous donation to our classroom. With your support, our classroom was able to have an organized and leveled library full of book bins and the reading area became even cozier with a new bilingual rug. With the new ELMO, our students now have the technological support to learn. The wobble chairs have helped students focus during whole group/small group lessons. With the pizza fraction game, my third graders had fun learning about the different fractions in a whole.

My students are ever so grateful for the classroom materials you helped us receive and have enjoyed their school year with the new materials.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Peralta

  • Stress Relief

    Funded Jan 13, 2022

Thank you so much for contributing to our classroom project this school year. The students have been using the resources all throughout the year and it has made a huge difference in their social emotional learning.

When students spend time in the cozy corner, they are able to relax their minds by coloring, drawing, and playing with the fidget toys provided. They were all pretty excited to see the new and cool toys that they could use while in the cozy corner and wanted to use the cozy corner more frequently.

Students also have more crayon colors to represent their skin colors when creating self-portraits as you can see in the pictures. Now everytime they draw a self-portrait, they know they can use these skin color crayons to better represent their diversity.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Peralta

  • Dual Language Kindergarteners Take on Remote Learning!

    Funded Sep 17, 2020

I am writing to you to express my immense gratitude for your donations to this project. The headphones and stylus pens have been such a big help to my students learning remotely. Students have been better focused and more engaged during live meetings with me, because they are not being distracted by all the surrounding noise. The headphones are also great for those times when the students are engaging in a Spanish oral communication game with each other and they can hear each other perfectly. The stylus pens have really helped my younger ones, to practice their pencil grasp while writing on a tablet/ipad and it continues to build on their writing stamina.

Your help has made a world of a difference to my students, who have all been learning remotely for the entire school year.

Remote learning has not been easy, but with your support, we were able to help make learning via a computer screen, a little more fun.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Peralta

The materials I am requesting will make such a difference in my students' learning at home and with in-classroom learning down the line. The document camera will allow me to share books, record videos, and other students’ work. Letter and sound identification are so vital in Kindergarten, and for many of my students, background noises at home disrupt their virtual learning. With headphones, they will be better able to participate and engage in virtual learning, especially when learning the target language. Proper pencil grip in letter formation is equally important in Kindergarten, and while teaching remotely, it would be of great help for my students to have a stylus pen to better support their writing.
