A Cozy Space for Learning
Funded Dec 31, 2024We sincerely appreciate your generosity towards our classroom. Your thoughtfulness has contributed to creating an environment where students feel comfortable and excited to learn.
When the students first noticed the new additions, their excitement was palpable. The stadium chairs have become a motivating factor in our class. The upgraded cool-down area now enables students to work on managing their emotions in a safe and effective manner. Additionally, the enhancements to our library have been incredibly popular among students seeking more reading opportunities at their level.
Currently, we are diligently focusing on improving our reading and math skills, which often involves small group instruction. These donations have significantly enriched our classroom experience.
Thank you once again for your generous contributions to our classroom.”

Flex Seating
Funded Aug 13, 2019We are grateful to you for investing in our classroom community. This school year started, and it has been going by so quickly. The scholars were s excited to see the flexible seating options we had, and have been enjoying using them. We have discussed the best ways to use the stools and the responsibility we have to maintain these seating options. It has been so helpful at my small group table, allowing for students to move in a non-disruptive way, and still be focused.
Upon arrival, all the students gravitated towards using the stools. It is a favorite for many. But there are some scholars who needed a traditional chair, and the use of the fidget bands on the feet of the chair is a better option. The bands at their feet, allow them to kick or bounce it with no noise, and often helps them to focus on the task they are doing.
In our classroom there are 18 boys and 7 girls. We are a high energy group that fully enjoys movement throughout the day. Fourth grade is a big jump for our scholars because they are learning so many new things, and so much more is expected of them. This year we are incorporating more use of technology, as we collaborate with a class in Ireland, through another program called JDO.
Having the flexibility to be comfortable as you learn and work is something even adults want. My students are no different in this regard. They are extremely grateful for your generous donations that helped to make this possible.”
