I am creating a sensory room in my classroom. People on the autism spectrum can have sensory processing dysfunction, which is over- or under-sensitivity to light, sound, smell, taste, and touch. The goal is to have a place to go that is calm and can meet the students' sensory needs to keep them happy and calm. The storage unit would help keep things organized and provide space to put the equipment and fidgets in the sensory room. With this storage unit, my students will easily be able to take care of their favorite items and find their items when they need them.
