  • Classroom Necessities

    Funded Oct 12, 2023

I want to thank you again for your generosity. My students were thrilled when they saw the donors choose items arrive. The materials I have received have already positively impacted me and my students. The whiteboard I received has made it easy to take notes with my class and give explicit directions. The markers and chart paper are useful when making anchor charts for my students to look at when they are needed. The legos provided have allowed my students to play and work together during the many days we have had indoor recess.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Draffen

Thank you for your generous donation to my project. I’m sure this project will make a difference in my classroom. Your kindness goes a long way, and continues to make an impact on my students. My students and I appreciate this more words can describe. Thanks again for your generosity.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Draffen

  • Making Room for Inclusivity

    Funded Feb 2, 2022

First, I want to thank you for your donations to my class. We have been using the resources for flexible seating. In the mornings I select students at random to use the stool, bouncy bands and pillows. My students that like to fidget prefer the bouncy bands under their feet so they can focus.

My students were very shocked when they found out my project was funded. They weren't aware that I'd made a wish list so seeing all the boxes was a surprise in itself. They were eagerly waiting for each package to open to see what was gifted to our class.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Draffen

With the items from my list I plan to offer flexible seating daily. I have a great class, I believe having flexible seating can meet the needs of students that need to stay on task. I also think the flexible seating will help motivate others so they can use it too. The books I have added I will display in my room for students to read. I also plan to read them to my students and have them discuss what we read about. I would like to create an inclusive classroom where students know that they can be successful.
