The supplies that I am requesting will go far to help students self-regulate when they are over-stimulated. These supplies will assist in auditory, visual, vestibular, and other sensory input areas that can hinder student progress. Not all students can self-regulate. Some require additional sensory input to be able to have a mind that is ready to learn. These items will assist in getting students ready to learn. Students will be instructed on how to recognize when they need a break and will work with staff to find which sensory items work best for them. The goal is to have students be able to independently assess themselves and find appropriate coping skills to keep them on track and learning.
