These new Kindles will not only motivate my students to read a wide variety of texts, but will help prepare them for online assessments. All assessments my students are required to take are digital. Often times their stamina, when it comes to reading a text on a computer or tablet, is not as strong as it is while reading a actual book or printed text. My students will be using the Kindles daily during small group instruction daily. They will have to opportunity to participate in small group book clubs using direct quotes on their Kindles to guide their conversations.
