In third grade, sitting still can be a chore! In my classroom, our math classes are one and a half hours long, pushing even the most patient student and teacher to the limit. Having alternate ways to move around and to burn energy can help a student stay calm, focused, or alert. For students that wiggle around, the bounce straps and exercise balls will give them a chance to perform their best work! Many times, antsy students (especially those with ADD or ADHD) lose instructional time whether it is from taking a walk, or simply getting distracted. With their urge to move around, they can also be labelled a "behavior student", when all they need is an extra bounce. With the addition of bounce straps and FitPro exercise balls, even the most antsy learner will be able to move and wiggle to their heart's content without losing instruction time!
