    Students were very excited to learn that people had donated to their classroom and when the packages arrived they were over joyed to receive them! Opening the boxes was so exciting and they couldn't wait you try out all of the new seating options they had!

    Thank you for your generous donations! Because my project was fully funded I was able to provide flexible seating options to my students. These options allow student to sit comfortably and engage in day activities. They are well loved seating options and student really enjoy using them!”

Students in my class will benefit from alternate seating options. Not all students can sit in one place for long periods of time. Allowing them to choose their seating place, and providing a comfortable and inviting atmosphere will empower them to become more successful learners. Traditional desks in rows isolate students from each other. Our classroom environments should be conducive to open collaboration, communication, creativity, and critical thinking. Flexible seating allows students to easily pair up, work in small groups, or discuss as a whole class. This simply cannot be done when kids are sitting in rows of desks all day. Having seats that wobble will allow students the movement they need, without being disruptive. Providing comfortable seating will give students a place to read and work quietly. Students are coming to school with more diverse needs, and my classroom needs to provide diverse learning opportunities and workspaces to accommodate those needs.
