Having a tablet in the classroom can make a large impact on students. I will have students in small groups so that a tablet will be part of a center. This is where students can listen to books while focusing on sounds and story comprehension. Having a tablet can also help my English learning students. They will be able to hear their writing read back to them, so they can make corrections, look up the meaning of words and practice the important phonics skills by listening to the way they sound. Allowing students to have access to a tablet opens so many doors for them to practice 21st Century skills. Students will be able to use green screen on book reports, slow motion videos for science projects and increase overall student engagement. Having technology in the classroom can show a strong influence for students’ growth and achievement
