Technology is a huge part in the classroom! While it will never replace the teacher, it is crucial we implement it and use it as much as possible. There are many activities, reading and listening apps, and many other technology based learning programs that my students use and will learn to use. One thing I have noticed is how distracting technology can be. Students easily loose focus when the hear noise from a game or app. Causing them to get distracted and at times off task. The use of headphones is key to successful technology use. It keeps the student using the technology focused and does not interrupt the rest of the class who may be working on something else. I have used many headphones provided by the schools but they just don't last. A nice set of headphones will be helpful to keep our classroom routines flowing. We can learn and move throughout the room with our issues of which headphones work and which do not!
