We Are Engineers
Funded Aug 2, 2023Thank you so much for donating to our class's STEAM project. The students have been excited to get and use new building materials. Your donations have helped students get excited about the projects we will be doing through the school year.
We have worked on the engineering design process by building a platform that holds weight. We have learned about and built Simple Machines. The students have learned the importance of making a plan and following through. It has been great to see them so engaged in their learning.”

Funded Aug 4, 2022I want to thank you again for donating these math games to our class. We started using them on the very first day of school. My students have ask to play one every day. So far we have practiced mental addition, fractions, and equations. Although I'm pretty sure the students think they've just been playing games.
The students and I are excited to continue to learn and play new games through out the year as we learn more math concepts. Your donation has made a huge impact on our math program and I can't thank you enough.”

Help our Kids Stay Active All Year
Funded Dec 19, 2021Thank you so much for helping me get recess toys for our school. It has come at a perfect time since the weather has been bouncing around from below freezing to rain. Having something to do has made being stuck inside more fun.
I was very excited to see all the boxes appear in the office this week. The kids were so excited to see a cart full of balls, jump ropes and other activities where a beat up old tote with a few leftovers had sat the day before. It's like Christmas all over again.
Thank you for always supporting me in everything I do!”

Funded Nov 11, 2019Thank you so much for supporting our project and seeing the value in building creative thinking in science and math. When students walked in and saw the tinker tool box over flowing you could almost see the gears spinning behind their eyes.
The books have been a great tool to sparking ideas. We have been able to turn day dreaming into planning and fidgeting into building. Our new books and building supplies have brought out the best in our student. They have been stretch their minds and building teamwork skills.
Thank you so for the gifts you have given our student. They go far beyond the material items we received.”

Funded Oct 11, 2019The students and I were very excited when the legos were delivered to our school. We have spent the first weeks of school learning about the engineering design process and talking about how things are invented. Up until this point we have only been able to build using paper and tape.
Today when we had a power outage it was the perfect chance to explore with the Legos. One of my classes has struggled with doing anything as group and perseverance. Today they spent an hour building and creating challenges together without once arguing or giving up. The only time they came to get me was to show me the successes they had.
Now that they have got a chance to explore the materials we will start to do STEM challenges related to our science units and then in December they will design and build an invention to solve a problem that they identify themselves.”

Learning is Doing!
Funded Jul 12, 2019Thank you so much for supporting our project. Nothing made me happier than seeing those boxes delivered to our school. We spent the first two weeks of school learning about the engineering design process and talking about how things are invented. This week we started to design and build.
Today when I rolled the cart of neatly organized materials out of the closet they were excited for the chance to explore everything. One of my classes in particular has struggled with doing anything as group and perseverance. Today they spent an hour building and creating challenges together for the bee bot without once arguing or giving up. The only time they came to get me was to show me the successes they had.
Now that they have got a chance to explore the materials we will start to do STEM challenges related to our science units and then in December they will design and build an invention to solve a problem that they identify themselves.”
