The students will be learning by practicing what they read about in their Science books or see in a video, but to them, it seems like they are playing. And to their surprise, they learn by doing.
They will learn that magnets are not just for holding art or grades on the refrigerator, but they are also used in construction among other things. They will learn that simple machines are everywhere around us, and we use them every day. They will learn that force is used to get an airplane off the ground and to move a swing.
Using these materials I will bring Science out of the book or computer and into the real world. They will get to build models of real-world things.
