Help us FLY!
Funded Jan 18, 2024Being able to practice and prepare in a safe environment has allowed our cheerleaders to feel comfortable and confident, which is the greatest gift. Knowing they are protected, cheerleaders are able to experiment and take risks. This is something that extends beyond the cheer mats and into life. Feeling secure in what you have around you allows one to explore without fear, try without hesitation, and believe in oneself. Thank you for enabling this in our cheerleaders.
Our gratitude is immense. You have gone above and beyond to help support this team not only for this year but for years to come. I know these mats will get use as we continue on our cheer journey and encourage more students to take part in expressing themselves and sharing their school spirit.”

Funded Sep 29, 2022The students have never felt more excited and eager to perform well, show growth, progress in their skills and class work, as they do in anticipation of earning "a reward to remember." Their enthusiasm in the classroom is infectious as they know their hard work is appreciated. They feel a sense of gratitude as they earn a prize from
The hub and the positive reinforcement has made the class environment positive, joyful, and encouraging. Thank you for helping these kids feel inspired, appreciated, and valued.”

Funded Feb 3, 2022The students have felt such a sense of comfort, privacy, and independence using these divides, and for that, I am so grateful. You have helped to take the anxiety out of test taking, make it something in which one can focus, relax, and be their best selves.
When the students first saw the dividers, they were beyond overwhelmed with joy. The ones we had were broken, written all over, and falling apart. They immediately felt a sense of peace knowing that test taking would no longer be something of stress. Rather it would be a source of ease.
We will continue to use these throughout this year, on state exams, in class unit tests, but also for years ahead. We are so appreciative for your contribution to our classroom and cannot thank you enough.”

Never BORED with BOARD Games!
Funded Nov 1, 2019There was a knock at the door...Bang, Bang, Bang. In came one of the amazing school aides bringing in a set of packages. Immediately, the students eyes lit up. "Is that for us?" one of them asked politely. "It is!" I replied with joy. While the kids did not know what was in the boxes, I told them the boxes would be opened by me after school and that which was inside would be shared with them the following day. I could see the eagerness and curiosity on their faces, and couldn't wait to surprise them with fun, excitement, and true pleasure.
The next day arrives and it is Choice Time period! The kids immediately got out their paper, pens, books, anything they currently had to engage in some "blow off steam, but still be educational" time. "Wait," I announced, "remember, those packages? Someone was so generous and donated some new choice time and Math center games for you to enjoy!" Bright-eyed and enthusiastic, the kids ran up to see what there was—Top Trumps Math and Science decks, Blokus, Pay Day, Rubik's Race, Rush Hour, Mastermind, the list goes on. They paired up and began playing. How special the classroom looked and felt. Students raced to find a spot to challenge their opponent, learn a new board game, create a unique one, just have fun. "What a rich environment," I said to myself as I felt so thankful and lucky.
Words cannot express our utmost gratitude for your support and your thoughtfulness. The students have absolutely loved honing their teamwork, turn taking, educational concepts and skills, strategy, divergent thinking, and creativity. They have been able to strengthen their attention, focus, collaboration, negotiation, and communication. Not to mention, while doing all of this, they have given their minds some time to relax and destress after a full day of studying and intense academic work. We are so grateful to have people like you who care so much about helping others, people who are genuine and giving, people who have tremendous hearts and souls. From the bottom of our hearts, we say thank you, and hope you know what a difference you have made in the lives of 60 kids.”
