So much class time is wasted from students asking for pencils, passing out materials, and putting those materials away at the end of class. Having a good organization tool at each desk will maximize learning time allowing us to cover more material. I can’t tell you how many chairs got broken in my classroom last year from kids leaning in them or sitting weird in them. Many simply do not like chairs! I had a stool and some of those struggling students would do better when they could sit on the stool. They had more space around them and didn’t feel so confined with the chair back.
