  • Planning our Future!

    I would like to share the exciting news as to how my students have been using their planners and how they have kept up with them. They have used them to keep track of their grades and setting goals. They write down special dates of events, such as benchmark testing days, semester exam days. The planners have helped them to get organized and plan their future studies and events.

    Some of my students were not as excited to receive a planner. They thought it would be too much work to keep up with it. It was their first time owning one and not sure how to use it. Some of my students have shown improvement in class because they feel organized and say they wish they had them before.

    The next lesson or project is to read a novel and create a persuasive cover and information to convince other students to read their book.”

The academic student planners will be used to help my incoming 6th graders to get organized. My goal is for them to learn organizational procedures and be successful. The student planners will be used to note due dates for homework assignments, test/quiz dates, project due dates, special rallys, and missed assignments on days absent. They will definitely be used in all their subject areas. At this age, student have a difficult time staying organized. I am hoping that these academic planners will help them learn to get organized and will teach them to be responsible and accountable for their own work and their assignments.
