Cooking Up Some FUNctional Skills

Thank you so much for your generous donation! I am extremely grateful for your generosity and support. This will help my students so much this year! They love to cook, and I love to teach them while watching them grow into independent adults. Cooking is such a great way for my students to learn. They are using math, reading, science, and independent living skills all at the same time.

They were extremely excited when they saw the products! They love having their own supplies and being able to take them home and share them with their families. Their families love it as well!

We had a big Thanksgiving lunch and invited family members the week before Thanksgiving. We spent two weeks planning the meal and shopping list. We then got to go shopping for the supplies! The students loved being able to cook for each other and their families. The families were all very impressed by their students' skills as well!
