As a first-year teacher, I want to build a classroom library that motivates my students to read! I want to provide a variety of books available for students to read independently as well as during whole group instruction. I believe that reading is so important for primary students and supplying them with a variety of books that will fit the different interests in my classroom will help students find joy in reading. I want our classroom library to be a place where students can escape into reading and connect with the books. Many students cannot afford books independently and having a variety of books available in our classroom library will make a huge impact on their learning!
