  • Learning About Money

    Funded Mar 24, 2025

Thank you for your generous donation! My students will be so happy to get to have their own money bank of coins to work on counting money. The lamination will come in handy making them centers that they can write on as well as stand up over time. The cash box will protect our class money from being taken.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Christie Brown

  • Literacy and Math

    Funded Apr 23, 2024

Your donation has helped our scholars with learning reading and math concepts. They are very grateful for the dry erase supplies. We use them daily.

The counters have come in handy during math strategy time. The students love that they have multiple ways to add and subtract. I love that they can actually see how all the different strategies work hands on.

Your generosity has shown my students that there are caring people outside of our community that take an interest in children of today's learning. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Christie Brown

  • Breaking Language Barrier

    Funded Feb 14, 2024

Thank you tremendously for your donation. We were able to use it in class when other Hispanic students were not able to translate adequately for understanding. The student that we used it for eyes lit up when he first heard the translation.

I am sure that it will also be of major help when we have Back to School night in August! I cannot wait to use it with my new families and even with returning families and friends.

Our ESOL translator for our school sees big potential with the device. I think this is the beginning of a great bridge to communication.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Christie Brown

  • Hands-on Phonics Instruction

    Funded Jan 1, 2023

The students are really enjoying phonics instruction with the materials from the project. They are loving being able to use hands on devices as well as manipulating the play dough for sounds or syllables.

We now have enough supplies that all twenty-three students have their own supplies and do not have to argue or share. This has helped us nip disruptions and struggles.

When we were getting prepared to write to the incoming first graders, many students told them about the reading tool boxes and how much they will help.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Christie Brown

  • Headphones That Help

    Funded Aug 16, 2022

Your generosity has ensured that our entire first grade students have quality headphones to use in the classroom. We were able to get enough headphones for five classes with a little extra that has come in handy since we have had an influx of students arrive well into the school year.

Each one of the five teachers sends their gratitude to you. The headphones are not only good for the students to be able to hear what they are supposed to be learning while using technology but also gives the teachers the quiet they need to work with small groups throughout the day.

    Thank you again!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Christie Brown

  • Rocking Learning

    Funded Aug 16, 2022

The students are thoroughly enjoying the manipulatives that were donated to our classroom! They were so excited when I unboxed everything and could hardly contain themselves when they found out what we would be using them for.

The materials have really helped me to give the students hands on experience whether we are working on a math skill or phonics skill. The caddies have been a great asset to keeping their supplies neat and together. They are able to bring their supplies with them to small groups.

Thank you again for your generosity and giving!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Christie Brown

  • First Grade Representation Library

    Funded Mar 6, 2022

Thank you so much for your generosity! The books are being mainly used for read aloud to my students and they are enjoying them tremendously. I have been able to use some of the books to teach about sequencing as well as character development.

I have also been able to put some of the books into our classroom library so that the students can look at the pictures and the books can be chosen when we have upper grade readers come for a visit or partner read.

The students and I are very appreciative of the opportunity to have these books added to our classroom library and read aloud rotations.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Christie Brown

  • Learning with Our Hands

    Funded Mar 6, 2022

The students and I have been so grateful to have the manipulatives and dry erase boards. We have used them in math class to help with addition, subtraction and place value. We have also used them to practice spelling patterns that we have been learning.

We cannot express the gratitude that we have for the supplies that have been given to us with project. The students are excited to come to the carpet and get busy with learning! The smiles on their faces proves to me that hands on learning is essential to foundational learning.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Christie Brown

I want to be able to provide families with ample variety of quality books to read nightly with my Book Buddy project. It takes a base of 140 books to supply the project for a year. I only have about 80 books currently. The Scholastic Magazines are a great natural bridge between school and home. I love to hear the questions that the children come up with after first reading each edition. The topics are always relevant and keep the children's interest. Children that are read to nightly have a higher chance of great achievement. I want to bridge the gap!
