The joy of hearing and seeing a 6 or 7 year old read independently for the first time, perhaps even after 10 months being in school, is just nothing short of a miracle that I sometimes cannot describe how it must feel what this little person has done for himself/herself. We celebrate every success a child makes, and learning to read does not come off easily to most of our kids. If they do not have enough exposure to quality books, especially with having to compete with multimedia gadgets nowadays, it is getting more and more difficult to get their attention.
It is absolutely necessary to have engaging sets of books for our kids to learn.
For guided reading instruction to be successful, our kids need the resources for their differentiated tasks and groups to help them reach their reading (and writing) potential. What better way than to provide them with these resources! With YOUR generous help, you will be helping our students become avid readers today...and be future LEADERS!
