My kindergarten students love STEM learning activities! They are learning science, technology, engineering, math, and literacy concepts while using their brains, hands, and imaginations to create and build. Instead of traditional paper and pencil tasks, my students are using their whole bodies to build and create math, science, and literacy projects. Students who build letters/numbers using hands on materials are much more likely to be engaged. The hands on learning activities promote not only academic concepts but allow the students to practice problem solving and team work. Behaviors lessen because young minds and bodies are engaged in fun and enthusiastic learning activities.
