In our Computer lab, we only have desk space for the computers. We have many lessons and activities that we call "Unplugged" (not using the computer) that we are unable to do in the classroom because we do not have the space to work. The only way that the students would be able to have a small space is to disconnect and reconnect all computer equipment each day between each class period so that each class period could work on these activities. Having this learning space for my students will allow them to transition from "computer" assignments to "unplugged" assignments without having to move all of the computer equipment and risk damaging the computers. Having the chairs to go with our new tables will keep the students from having to move the chairs around the room from the computer to the tables multiple times during the transition times in class.
