  • Let's Play Some Math!

    Funded Nov 21, 2021

These resources have my students excited to learn math! After each assignment I'm asked over and over again "Can we do math games now?!" They love playing the games with each other but also independently. It's amazing to watch them have the love for math and desire to want to do it in their spare time. These games range from lower grade level to higher. It can do simple addition and subtraction all the way up to multiple digits multiplication and division. We are incredibly greatful for the donors who funded this project and gave us these wonderful opportunities to enhance math skills!”

  • New Year, New Learning!

    Funded Dec 1, 2021

Words cannot explain the smiles on these Children's faces when they've seen all these items! They were thrilled by everything from the ornaments to the new treasure box items to their fidget Christmas gifts. Many said "I was going to ask for this for Christmas from Santa!" Others expressed how they can't wait to earn their points for treasure box to get the new items we're putting in! As we bring AR in the classroom setting after the new year there is even more possibilities for them to reach these goals and prizes! The students AND myself are beyond grateful and can't say thank you enough,”

  • Always Push Through!

    Funded May 18, 2021

The sentimental affect of this project is tremendous. Starting the year out in Covid, with such big changes, many of the students AND staff felt like they would be climbing a huge mountain. This book to always push through is an affirmation we used as a school that year to encourage and remind student's that you CAN do it! To have the student's be able to take home this book and have the reminder not just as school but in their home as well gave them the hope they needed to succeed! Thank you for funding this project and giving student's that reminder!”

  • You Choose to Push Through!

    Funded Feb 18, 2021

I wish I took a photo and video of the student's reactions when I opened the boxes! They we're beyond amazed at all the items brought to the classroom! Donorschoose has made such an impact at a difficult time in education to give these students motivation. The student's pushed themselves to continue passing their lessons to get more marks on their chart so they can fill it up to get treasure box! Once a student see another get a light up bracelet, they worked even harder to get their goal met because they were all so excited to get one themselves! Thank you truly for such a blessing in our classroom!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Dries

  • Keep Pushing Through, Read!

    Funded Dec 8, 2020

As the student's go through the books it has been an amazing experience to see their excitement finding these books in the class library! The girls love the baby mouse books as the boys always go after the action and creative imagination books. To get student's interested in reading can be a task, students struggle with reading or just don't like to make the time for it. These books give them the excitement they need to get involved, to partner read and engage with each other while developing their vocabulary! It is such a blessing to have these items in our classroom and we are all very grateful, thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Dries

  • Let's Get Started!

    Funded Aug 12, 2021

The students have been thrilled this year to use these items in our classroom. We've had almost enough headphones for all the students and they are unbelievably happy they don't have to use the harsh, tight headphones they always complain about. The hundreds chart is a hit! Especially for our students still counting to 100, and helping with addition and subtraction! The students are always asking for math centers to solve the math problems so they can use it. During recess the magnetic tiles is the most popular activity, we have a rotation chart for the week because the students all love building with them and showing me what they made! Thank you!”

  • Learn and Take A Turn! Active Learning

    Funded Oct 4, 2019

The impact this has given the students has been amazing. The students eye lit up when they seen we had deliveries. It's always fun to get packages, but when its for them it makes it ten times better. The students all gathered around as we opened our new items with a lot of "whoa" and "wow" all filled with excitement. I am still building the games for reading and math, but this was a great start to the centers created to help engage the students in their learning. It's greatly appreciated and forever remembered!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Dries

Students don't learn their best when they are sitting in their seats and listening to a lecture for hours. Having the students engaged, moving and at times without even realizing their enhancing their skills. The students learn the content whole group, but each student learns at their own pace and in their own way. Students learn from many different forms as well. These games help the students learn together, from one another, all while practicing different skills in a way they look forward to. When working in math center groups, these games can work with the students in small group on different skills and different levels; as well as Language Arts. The student's scores last year excelled and reached their goals in growth because of what I truly believe bringing different ways of learning that is fun and exciting to them!
