My First Year in School

Funded Sep 20, 2020

Your gift has made such an impact on my students. It was very difficult for them to get the concepts of math and one-to-one correspondence. Because of your generous donation, my students continue to build their math skills.

When I opened the boxes, my students eagerly awaited to see what was inside. There was so much of a variety of colors in the dry erase marker pack. Several students were already picking out their markers even before I had passed them out. The counting bears have three different sizes; perfect for little hands. The dry erase boards were just the right size for them to use as they practice their names, numerals, and letters. The erasers work nicely in clean up as well.

The next steps for our classroom is to use our counting bears to enhance our Spring Open House project. This project's focus is on Science and Math. Students will be using the counters to graph our weather. As they graph each day according to the weather (sunny, cloudy, rainy, cold), they will use the dry erase marker to color in their square. We will then interpret the graphs to analyze which weather patterns were most frequent. My students and I sincerely thank all of our sponsors for this generous gift that will help them continue learning and thriving.”

With gratitude,

Ms. Pulido
