In this project students will be exploring the art of creating protest posters and looking at how art has been used to inspire social change throughout history. They will create their own posters that inspire social change about an issue they are passionate about. This helps students to see how they can use art to better the community around them and gives them a voice to tell a story they are passionate about. Students will be creating their posters using the skill of block printing. The materials you are helping to provide will give our students the opportunity to explore a new form of art and allow my students to see their original creations become a reality. The linoleum cutters and brayers will be used for decades with hundreds of students. The skill of printmaking is a new opportunity for our students to learn and grow to expand their art knowledge. Our final exhibition depends on having these materials.
