  • Franklin in Philly!

    Funded Oct 14, 2019

I cannot express enough appreciation and gratitude towards you all who helped us accomplish our dream of attending the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia, PA. It was an educational experience full of curiosity and interest.

Students arrived the morning of our trip eager and excited! The entire day was an experience our 5th graders will never forget. From the bus ride to Philly, to the most popular exhibits of "The Giant Heart" and "Your Brain," our classes were engrossed in every second of this museum.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Noto-Steuer

Learning outside the classroom hold key educational benefits for our Little Leopards. Our fifth grade science curriculum consists of energy, engineering, sound and vibration, earth science and environmental issues, and space. We are requesting funds to help cover the cost of our transportation to the Franklin Institute in the heart of Philadelphia. The Franklin Institute has 6 permanent exhibits that will allow our students to interact with the same concepts that they are studying throughout the year. From visiting The Train Factory and Sir Isaac’s Loft to test Newton’s Laws to going through the Space Command and The Joel N. Bloom Observatory to check out sun flares, these are experiences that will enrich our students’ lives.
