These materials will give students an opportunity to practice the skills independently that they are being taught in Kindergarten. These resources will contribute to engaging and fun learning for students who struggle and will bring them closer to meeting the standards. These resources work for not only instructional purposes but also help build a strong classroom community. Many of my students do not have access to quality reading and math resources at home. Through generous donations, my students will have access to these materials on a daily basis. This is important for academic success and achievement and readiness for first grade. With these materials, students will gain a better understanding of alphabet recognition and number sense. These are crucial skills that students need to be successful. With these learning center materials, I am confident that students will not only meet expected learning outcomes but exceed those learning outcomes. I will use these materials for small groups in reading and math and will also put them in centers.
