It is my goal to help every one of my students reach his/her potential. Most of my students were born within the last decade, therefore know and love technology. I try to capitalize on this fact. My aim is to use the iPad as a tool and to assist me in various points of my lessons. Using an iPad during small group reading instruction will be used primarily as a means of reinforcing foundational reading skills. I also plan to provide opportunities for additional independent practice in reading and math. I feel I can meet my students’ learning needs in part by attending to their technological intelligences. I must be clear however, I am very careful about only using technology when there is a sound educational purpose. Every child deserves to be taught by an accomplished teacher utilizing best practices. The iPads are simply a tool to help my students achieve. Thank you for your consideration!
